Beyond The Shire

As a child we grow up with dreams, fantasies and mystical friends that become our companions when we are lonely or afraid.

Tolkien from the age of seven, and his life of experiences and profession, became those exact books of fantasy with wizards, middle earth, Norse mythology and sagas, that transformed generations to believe in the good and bad, and that our lives mean something, no matter who we are, how tall we stand, where we come from and the stories we share.

Hence, Longshore (aka Michael Dion) has created his own idea of music and fantasy to enjoy with others. Please view the video on YouTube that has been created to share the music.

P.S. The word "Shire" comes from Middle English and Old German, not unlike other words and phrases used by Tolkien in his stories. Shire was first used in Wessex from the beginning of Anglo-Saxon settlement.
