Originally released in May 1989, Man From Cairo was a smash hit on MAC radio Stations.  It was a cohesive jazz fusion group that included co-leaders Tom Zink on keyboards and Melvin Davis on bass. Several tracks included additional keyboards from Russell Ferrante (Yellowjackets), sax from Vince Denham (Al Jarreau), and on drums Bernie Dressel (Rippingtons). Tom, a Grammy nominated arranger, producer has been keyboardist with Anne Walsh, Brian Bromberg and Christopher Cross, Wendy Katagi,  while Melvin has played and toured with the Pointer Sisters, Gladys Knight, Lee Ritenour, Chaka Khan, Rick Tatum, Tom also owns Ming Dynasty Studio where numerous and varied projects have gone from seed to fruition within its doors.  Projects ranging from Folk guitar duos, to Jazz sextets, Motown projects and everything in between have been crafted here from pre-production through mixing.
